Trimetis GFB achieves tremendous success at the ENTER_ZUKUNFT Career Fair at Goethe University in Frankfurt on May 31st, 2023.

Our booth at the career fair attracted a multitude of individuals who are aspiring to secure qualified positions in various companies and are very enthusiastic about shaping the future of IT and innovative solutions. A highlight of the event was our engaging contest where participants had to estimate the weight of gummy bears in a jar. However, this competition was more than just a fun activity — it provided valuable insights into the significance of accurate estimation in IT.
Accurate estimation plays a crucial role in the IT industry. From resource and budget planning to data forecasting and performance projection, the ability to make precise estimates is invaluable. It enables companies to make informed decisions, efficiently manage projects, and maximize the success of their initiatives.
That’s why we chose to incorporate this theme into our contest, shedding light on this relevant aspect of IT industry.
Brief Timeline:
The morning started off quietly, as many potential visitors were likely still attending their lectures. However, as noon approached, the exhibition hall quickly filled up, and there was a noticeable surge of interest at our booth. An impressive number of people took on our challenge, attempting to estimate the weight of the gummy bears as accurately as possible.
One participant even took the unconventional approach of seeking assistance from the AI-powered voice assistant, ChatGPT. Through clever questioning, they were able to determine the manufacturer of the container and derive its volume. ChatGPT provided an estimate that was close but still slightly off — a humorous anecdote within the context of the contest.
No one was allowed to touch the container of gummy bears. Participants had to rely on their intuition and knowledge only, to make the most precise estimates. Ultimately, a “captain” secured the first-place position by guessing the weight just 6 grams off with his estimate of 1385 grams.
Trimetis GFB not only received fantastic feedback during this event but also established valuable connections. Among the attendees were several highly qualified and competent individuals who have the potential to enhance our team. The opportunity to meet and engage with these talents was the main driver behind our presence at the fair.
